TPWD Taking Public Comment on Regulations Proposals Online, Live Webinar Set for March 6

Each year, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department proposes changes to the state’s hunting and fishing regulations and gathers public comment. Participating in the annual process is now more convenient with new online resources for getting involved, including recorded video presentations and an upcoming live online webinar presentation of this year’s proposals.

Access to the online resources, including options to provide public comment, can be found at http://tpwd.texas.gov/business/feedback/public_comment/.

TPWD will still conduct in-person public hearings, which are scheduled for Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. in Zapata at the Zapata County Technical and Advance Education Center, Room 128, 605 N. US Hwy 83, and in Lufkin at the Angelina County Courthouse, 159th District Courtroom, 215 E. Lufkin Avenue.

A live online public hearing via webinar will also be held at noon on Friday, March 6. Details and instructions for participation in the online public hearing webinar will be available on the TPWD website home page the day of the event.

Public comment will also be taken at the March 26 meeting of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission at TPWD headquarters in Austin before the Commission votes on proposed changes.
