Target Range Development Grants Available through TPWD

Grant Workshop Scheduled Monday, Nov. 14, near Houston

AUSTIN – The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is currently accepting applications for target range development grants through Nov. 30, 2016. Construction or enhancements of public ranges are eligible to be considered for these competitive grants, made available through funding from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

A grant workshop is being held at the American Shooting Centers complex in West Harris County on Monday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This interactive workshop will provide attendees with an overview of the target range program and will define in detail various components within the grant application. The session will include tips for writing competitive project statements and budgets sufficient for requesting funding. The public should be able to come away with 90 percent of their project application completed.
