Born and raised a saltwater enthusiast, Nate Skinner has spent his entire life fishing, analyzing, and learning the Upper Texas Coast. He holds a degree in Environmental Studies from Texas A&M University, and is a licensed captain by the U.S.C.G. Fishing and the outdoors have become not just a hobby or a passion for him, but rather a way of life.
Residing in his hometown of Texas City, TX, Skinner works as an outdoor writer and photographer, and guides fellow anglers along the Upper coast. He also enjoys traveling south to pursue game fish in southern Texas bays and the Laguna Madre, as well as hunting waterfowl along the coastal marshes and estuarine shorelines of the state.
Skinner is an Upper Texas Coast Contributing Editor for TEXAS OUTDOORS JOURNAL, and enjoys every minute of being a writer and key player for the magazine and the outdoor industry.
