California bans sale of d-Con, other rodenticides

Unknown
Under continuing pressure from environmental groups (and probably the pest control lobby), the California Department of Pesticide Regulation this week banned the sale of d-Con and other rodenticides to the general public. The basis for the ban? It claims the poison is reponsible for the death of 300 non-target animals over the past 20 years (that figures out to about one a month in a state the size of California). San Jose Mercury News.
